We now have an exciting opportunity for a Storeperson at our Melbourne office.
About the Role This position is responsible for stock control levels within the warehouse, ensure products are proficiently packed for transportation and are safely loaded and unloaded.
This role will be reporting to the Stores Team Leader and will be based in Melbourne, Australia.
Key responsibilities: Safely operates the forklift and other lifting equipment within manufacturer's instructions and tna procedures, including reporting performance or maintenance issues.Ensures that the stores area has safe access for all employees, including safety signage is visible at all times and PPE is worn.Participates in the annual Stocktake.Ensure equipment is sufficiently and securely packed and ready for shipment by pick-up time.Arrange transport for collection and drop off of goods.Ensure that parts/equipment are picked, unpacked and ready for assembly as required.Ensures the stores area is clean, tidy and organised at all times, using the best use of available space.Control the booking in and out of all stock and be aware of its whereabouts at all times.Assist with the movement and lifting of machinery for the purpose of customer demonstrations, trials or other requirements.Support the rest of the team in terms of their requirements for assistance in any of the above areas.Other tasks / duties as reasonably requested.Qualification and experience Forklift License is mandatory.Minimum of 2 years' experience within a warehouse/store's environment.Experience in packaging and shipping (freighting) Proven experience to organise and maintain stock.Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is beneficial.Desired Knowledge and Skills Experience in health & safety initiatives relating to the warehouse environment.Able to strictly follow systems and procedures.Accuracy and focus with an eye for detail producing high-quality work.Identification with tna values including being a team player, passionate, professional, committed, honest and treat people with dignity and respect.Excellent customer service skills - able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.Why work with us?
