Store Manager - Mount Louisa

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, passionate retail leader to become a Store Manager in our Mount Louisa IGA store. You will be responsible for the overall performance and operations of the store, ensuring that maximum sales, profit, and customer satisfaction are achieved through effective merchandising, pricing, and inventory control. You may be required to work a rotational roster which may include weekends and public holidays. Your leadership skills will be continuously utilized as you perform your role in this fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesHigh level of personal integrity and accountability for performanceDemonstrate an exceptional level of customer servicePrevious management experience and skillsAbility to lead and manage a large team (previous management experience of a medium-large sized team essential, including rostering)Experience with successful conflict management within a workplaceCan demonstrate ability to follow company policies and procedures (inc. disciplinary action)Experience in selection and induction of new staffExperience with performance management (including performance appraisals, identifying skill gaps, assisting staff with knowledge and skill development)Experience in training and coaching staff in various work areas and topicsDemonstrate significant expertise and understanding of merchandising techniquesDemonstrate a strong understanding of how to monitor and control shrinkageSignificant experience in stock rotation and stock management (including ordering & returns)Strong understanding of WH&S and food safety requirements and regulationsExperience in consistently exceeding sales targets and meeting various budget requirements (such as wage budgets)Able to communicate clearly and negotiate with people from different backgrounds and roles (such as suppliers, customers, staff, external entities)Good level of computer skillsVery good literacy and numeracy skills (for example: ability to interpret sales figures and calculate targets, manage and allocate wage budgets, coordinate stocktakes, comprehend company policies and various legislation, write and compile reports)Preferred CriteriaSignificant retail industry experience strongly preferredSignificant grocery/stock management experience strongly preferredExperience within fresh food highly regardedApply through Seek, by clicking Apply Here.Applications close 18 November 2024.
