About the Role:
This is a part-time position, working 18 hours per week , with flexible days to suit the needs of the program. You will plan and deliver engaging sessions, prepare learning resources, manage communications with families, and ensure the smooth delivery of sacramental celebrations. Collaborating with the parish team, schools, and volunteers, you will play a key role in fostering spiritual growth for children and parents while building strong relationships within the parish community.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, advertise, and lead sacramental preparation programs. Organize and facilitate information sessions and workshops for parents and children. Manage communication with families, including phone, email, and in-person contact. Prepare certificates, booklets, and liturgical materials for sacramental celebrations. Coordinate with the parish priest, sacramental team, schools, and liturgy committees to ensure a seamless program. Recruit and train volunteers to support the sacramental and other parish ministries. Provide administrative support, including managing forms, updating databases, and maintaining schedules. Actively contribute to other liturgical ministries and foster community engagement. About You: Strong understanding of Catholic theology, liturgy, and sacraments. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse groups. Experience in coordinating or volunteering in parish programs is highly desirable.
