Sandhu Freights Pty Ltd is a transport company based in Shailer Park in QLD. They are looking to hire an experienced Transport Company Manager to join their team in Shailer Park.
The Role
This is for a full time role with an annual salary between $74,000 to $82,000 plus superannuation and will be based in their office in Shailer Park.
Responsibilities Liaising with clients with regards to the costs associated with our services and handling of any client complaints received Organising maintenance services or repairs of vehicles Dealing with customer complaints in an ethical manner Arranging collection and delivery of vehicles and goods General administration duties including data entry, generating reports, filing/archiving and responding to calls and queries. Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Oversight of driver fatigue management issues Account management Liaising with finance regarding supplier invoice queries Maintaining and distributing service and repair logs Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports Other duties assigned by the Director and reporting to the Director Ensure all vehicles are maintained and comply with Roadworthiness, OH&S and environment standards Maintain maximum availability of the fleet, through scheduled servicing and planned preventative maintenance Ensure all vehicles are maintained to the required maintenance and appearance standards Assist and contribute in tender and bid submissions for new service contracts Manage Fleet Maintenance vehicle defect reporting, assess and action all reports and arrange with contractors for vehicles to be repaired Organise and supervise company and contract drivers so that all freight requirements are completed by the agreed deadlines Check all employee and contractor run sheets for possible inaccuracies or time delays and manage any discrepancies Requirements At least a Diploma or equivalent in the freight and transport industry At least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial capacity At least 3 years of relevant experience in client management skills, especially regarding negotiations and complaint handling Fundamental knowledge of legislation impacting heavy vehicle fleet operations including WHS, environmental, basic fatigue management and road/transport compliance Ability to supervise and provide direction and guidance to other employees including the ability to assist in the provision of on-the-job training and induction. High organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Capacity to solve issues/problem and find suitable resolutions Excellent work ethic and ability to strive for goals The ability to work independently and as part of a team Able to pass a drug and alcohol test Verifiable work references #J-18808-Ljbffr
