About the Team: Student Support Services works with schools and preschools to provide support to assist them in meeting the needs of all children. The role requires the incumbent to participate in the implementation of a service model that supports the provision of integrated and targeted services to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs.

Inclusive Educators work with a range of key partners to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people. Collaborating with families, preschools, schools and local education teams, internal agencies and external agencies will ensure that the expertise and knowledge from each of these stakeholders can contribute to support children and young people with additional needs achieve optimal outcomes.
Inclusive Educators work as part of a larger multidisciplinary team in Student Support Services (SSS) who provide proactive, targeted and intensive intervention services to support additional needs of learners. The SSS team works in partnership with schools, preschools and families and may be available for children and students who have developmental delay/disability, learning difficulties, displayed unsafe and/or unproductive behaviours, health or wellbeing needs, challenges with disengagement or non-attendance, communication difficulties.

Desirable: Tertiary qualification in special/inclusive education.
Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) online (Fundamentals) course followed by the Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course unless you have current certification. You will need a current driver's license and be willing to drive.
Remuneration: STL 2 $135,204 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%)
