Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland's Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island.

The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with a spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.

Description: Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and related areasWash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand and using dishwashing equipmentEnsure all kitchen equipment and appliances are properly cleaned and sanitizedEmpty trash and recycling bins regularly to maintain a clean and sanitary environmentStore cleaned equipment and utensils in designated storage areasFollow proper safety and sanitation procedures at all timesCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and a positive work environmentReport any maintenance or repair needs to the kitchen manager or supervisor This role is a live-on-island position.

Skills and Experiences: Previous experience in a similar role preferredBasic understanding of kitchen equipment and utensilsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objectsWillingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staffMust be eligible to work in Australia #J-18808-Ljbffr
