About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner/s to join the Grampians Health team and play a key role in establishing new Women's Health and Sexual Reproductive Health services in the region.
This role provides an opportunity to work in two clinical areas:
Provide clinical consultations in a Friday afternoon Pregnancy Choices / Termination clinic in Ballarat Provide 4 hours of virtual support to the Horsham and Stawell Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub This position offers flexibility in terms of scope of involvement. Key Responsibilities:
Provide virtual support, clinical input and decision making for patients attending the Horsham and Stawell Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub, including contraceptive counselling, STI testing, termination of pregnancy services, and health promotion. Lead and manage patient consultations in the GP-led termination clinic on Friday afternoons at Ballarat Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement care models and referral pathways. Provide trauma-informed, confidential, and sensitive care tailored to individual patient needs. Promote patient participation through education, advocacy, and support. Maintain high clinical standards and a commitment to professional development. Skills and Experience:
Registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia. Vocational registration or working towards Vocational Registration. Experience in women's health and sexual and reproductive health. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and relevant legislation. Current medical indemnity insurance. A commitment to continuous improvement and best healthcare outcomes. Interested?
