We are seeking a professional Statutory Planner with a passion for our blended urban/rural environment.As a Planning Officer, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to assist with the assessment of development applications and be able to provide advice to Council.Some of your core functions include:Assessment of planning applications in an efficient manner within statutory timeframes for signing by Manager Statutory Planning and Compliance.Provide a weekly report on the status of all development applications.Represent Council at the State Administrative Tribunal.Prepare reports to Council on planning matters.Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:Positive attitude and strong team focus.Experience in assessing development applications.Ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Clear concise report writing abilities.The Important Stuff!We will negotiate an attractive salary dependent on experience.
