In this key leadership role, you will develop and execute sales strategies, manage critical client relationships, and ensure the continued success of the Optus Mid-Market and Enterprise sales portfolio.
As the State Sales Manager, you will lead a team of Sales Representatives and Account Managers, while actively selling to large business clients and managing strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a state-wide team of Sales Representatives and Account Managers to achieve revenue and growth targets.Sell directly to large business clients and manage strategic opportunities, including complex deals.Develop and implement sales strategies to drive new business and expand existing client relationships.Manage key client accounts and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers.Identify new business opportunities within the Enterprise and Mid-Market sectors, including telecommunications, IT solutions, and cloud services.Collaborate with internal teams, including Pre-sales, Commercial, and Technical Delivery, to ensure seamless client solutions delivery.Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge for Optus Mid-Market and Enterprise.Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and drive professional development for sales team members.Report on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior leadership.Key Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within the business telecommunications or IT solutions sector.Strong understanding of the business sales cycle, with a track record of closing complex deals with large organisations.Experience in selling to large business opportunities, alongside leading and managing a sales team.Excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities with C-level executives.Strategic thinker who can identify market opportunities and align them with business objectives.Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets while driving revenue growth.Familiarity with telecommunications, cloud services, and business IT solutions.Benefits and Perks: Competitive salary plus commissions and bonuses.Leadership role within one of Australia's leading telecommunications companies.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Dynamic, fast-paced work environment focused on innovation.Access to cutting-edge technology and business solutions.If you're a motivated sales leader with a passion for business telecommunications solutions and are ready to lead a team while closing larger opportunities, we'd love to hear from you!
