We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven State Sales Manager to join our growing team and drive our sales efforts in Victoria.
Job Overview: As a State Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading sales operations, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth within your assigned state territory.
You will manage a team of sales professionals and work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies to expand our market presence and deliver solutions to our clients.
This is a key role within our sales organization that requires a strong background in industrial automation, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of sales success.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all sales activities within your state territory, including developing and executing sales strategies.Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the industrial automation space.Identify new business opportunities and drive customer acquisition through lead generation, prospecting, and networking.Manage a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs.Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and technical consultations to prospective clients.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to ensure successful project delivery.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.Meet and exceed sales targets, providing regular reports to senior management on performance.Travel within the state to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and represent the company in industry events.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in industrial automation, control systems, or related fields.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.Must have demonstrated tenure of at least 3-5 years in previous roles.Strong leadership abilities with experience managing a team of sales professionals.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Solid understanding of industrial automation products and technologies (PLC, SCADA, robotics, sensors, etc.
).Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies.Willingness to travel within the state as required.Strong CRM experience and proficiency in sales reporting tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
