The State Manager, South Australia is a key leadership role in our Security Services Division.
The State Manager will lead a diverse and innovative team in providing security services to our clients across South Australia.
In addition, they will contribute to the development and implementation of our growth strategy as part of the national leadership team in ensuring we continue to build our relationship with our existing clients and build relationships with new clients through the innovative services that Ultimate Security offers.
The State Manager (VP) will utilise their experience within the Security sector to lead a diverse, multi-site workforce in a multi-million-dollar revenue people business.
ResponsibilitiesEffectively manage and lead all Ultimate Security activities and staff in SA.Overall operational governance of Ultimate Security in SA.Ensure all Ultimate Security client sites/contracts are profitable.Assist in the lead of all Ultimate Security contract transitions.Ensure all operational documentation such as SOPs, Operations Plans, Event Plans, Escalation Charts, Toolbox Briefs, Succession Plans, etc.
are professionally developed.Ensure all operational events are well planned and executed.Assist in the development of business plans and other high-level documents.Ensure all client queries are responded to within a timely manner (or as required).Maintain and build relationships with all key stakeholders, including local law enforcement.Manage processes to ensure all staff and contractors are properly inducted, competent, and fully informed of site-specific duties, and company policies and procedures.Drive company vision, values, and business plan.Engage in business development activities to grow the Ultimate Security client base.Encourage team involvement in decisions for achieving team goals.Attend the weekly operations meeting and provide credible input.Ensure all significant incidents are managed and escalated immediately.Actively encourage all staff to work within company policies/procedures.Ensure a monthly audit of all company assets (operations).Manage the operations department (Security) annual leave balances in SA.Recruit and select appropriately qualified staff.Continually improve and develop quality systems and software solutions.Establish and maintain inventory on all state site equipment and vehicles.Ensure all Ultimate SA Security staff have up-to-date position descriptions and are issued with a monthly KPI result.Assist in the development of tender/EOI/quotations as required.
Attend or coordinate tender site visits and ensure the applicable report is raised to the company tender coordinator.Engage new sub-contractors on an as-required basis and in accordance with company policies and ensure an SLA and associated KPIs are executed.
This must be completed as approved by the National Operations Manager.Identify appropriate staff for career advancement and for professional development programs.Train and mentor supervisors and staff.Ensure all staff payroll/rostering data is accurate.Ensure sub-contract companies are met with every 8 weeks and ensure any corrective action reports are raised for all service failures.Ensure current company policies and procedures are accessible by employees and/or displayed at all sites.Ensure all new employees have a signed contract and a full understanding and acceptance of agreement terms (including NES).Document meetings and files accordingly on company drives.Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance and resolve any issues, escalating as necessary.Ensure all services are invoiced and that outstanding debtors are reviewed and actively encouraged to settle payments.Monitor company IT solutions (Operations) to ensure staff are effectively utilizing systems in support of the business.Perform other related duties as requested by Executive Management.Skills Experience & Qualifications RequiredMinimum 5 years managing and leading the delivery of security services to clients in a senior management position.Well organised, confident, and able to work in tight time frames.Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Deep and broad experience in leading and managing staff while putting safety at the centre of everything.Team player who can also operate autonomously.Ability to work with a diverse existing client base and build lasting relationships.Effective communicator.Positive, can-do attitude, high level of customer service, and able to react and think 'on your feet' when required.Relevant State Security License and qualifications.Our OfferCompetitive salary package.Company maintained vehicle, phone, and laptop.Ongoing career development and training.Ability to drive process improvement and establish new processes.The stability and certainty we provide.Ultimate Security does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies and search firms.
