About the role:
You will lead and manage a small team responsible for delivering EPA's on-ground regulatory response in Northeast Victoria Region, including education, compliance monitoring and inspections, and managing non-compliance via regulatory notices and enforcement action.
In this role you will:
Lead and manage a team to achieve high performance, integrity, and collaboration in delivering regulatory outcomes.
Actively participate in the conduct of investigations, and the delivery of preventative projects and compliance programs aligned to EPA's regulatory priorities.
Lead the analysis, negotiation, and timely resolution of compliance issues; provide local intelligence to inform the development of preventative projects and compliance programs aligned to EPA's strategic regulatory priorities.
Actively support the delivery of the Officers for the Protection of the Local Environment (OPLE) Program in the region.
Skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and a proven track record in environmental regulation are desirable.
Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage teams, projects, and resources effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of government legislation, environmental regulation, and frontline operations.
Innovative thinker with a commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for making a difference.
