About the Role:
This is a fixed-term (parental leave replacement), part-time position for 12 months, at 60.8hrs per fortnight within the Hoppers Crossing Community Mental Health Team. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, tertiary mental health care for infants and children 0 to 11 years and their families through skilled assessment, treatment, and case management. You will also be involved in providing consultation to teams and services within the hospital, and external organizations and service providers to promote collaboration and build capacity.
Classification for this position will range from:
Grade 3 Occupational Therapist (YB24-YB27)
Grade 3 Social Worker (YC46-YC49)
Grade 4 Registered Psychiatric Nurse (NP75-NP77)
To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of effective and efficient child and adolescent mental health care Demonstrated ability to practice autonomously, as well as within an interdisciplinary team Provide high-quality clinical supervision to other mental health clinicians and students Demonstrated experience in professional supervision of clinicians and students Demonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to maximize service coordination and cooperation Demonstrated upholding and promotion of clinical and professional standards of practice A commitment and evidence of evidence-based practice and continuing professional development including an ability to find and apply evidence in decision-making Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills Demonstrated awareness and understanding of legal obligations when working in a CAMHS context in Victoria A flexible and adaptable approach to functioning in a team environment that enhances the team's high performance Your skills and experience:
Tertiary Qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline Current Registration as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Registered Nurse with the applicable Health Practitioner Board or a qualified Social Worker or Speech Pathologist Demonstrated effectiveness in working in true partnership with other community mental health teams and community/family welfare agencies Experience in providing quality clinical/professional supervision to staff and students Depending on discipline, required years of experience in accordance with the EBA will apply Other requirements:
Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain Valid Working with Children Check Compliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure Application process:
