Senior Energy and Climate Change Policy Adviser Job posted: 23/12/2024
A rare opportunity exists for an experienced energy and climate change policy adviser to research and analyse infrastructure policy. We seek an enthusiastic and accomplished policy professional to provide professional advice on energy and climate change, including emissions mitigation, adaptation, and resilience.
Infrastructure Victoria is an independent statutory authority which provides expert advice, undertakes research and guides decision making on Victoria's infrastructure needs and priorities.
The Energy and Climate Change Policy Adviser will work collaboratively on a variety of projects to prepare high quality policy reports and briefing documents on climate change and energy matters. They will produce clear and concise written, verbal and visual information to engage non-technical audiences, and for publication at an advanced professional level.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate strong policy analysis and development skills, possess proven subject matter expertise in conducting research and providing advice, and the ability to produce high quality written materials. You will exhibit strong interpersonal skills, and be able to plan and prioritise your own work effectively.
Knowledge of climate change and energy programs, policy, standards and certifications will be considered advantageous, as would any prior experience working in energy policy. A tertiary qualification in a discipline relevant to energy, environment or sustainability would be highly regarded.
