Registered Nurse - Medical Day Oncology Unit Occupation: Administration/Secretarial, Health and Allied Health, Medical and Nursing, Medical, Nursing, Aged CareReference: 11056The PositionTitle: Registered Nurse with experience and/or qualifications in Medical Day Oncology NursingDepartment: ERH Cancer and Wellness Centre - Medical Day Oncology UnitClassification: Nurses & Midwives EAHours per fortnight: CasualStatus: CasualOpportunity to work in the new ERH Cancer and Wellness CentreFurther develop your oncology skills at ERHChallenging and rewarding role in a supportive environmentOpportunity to join the team as new positions ariseSupport for further training in specialty Oncology and Medical Day Unit NursingDo you have what it takes?An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to take the next step in their career and join the friendly and supportive Cancer and Wellness Centre team.Key responsibilities include:Provide evidence-based holistic contemporary oncology and day treatment careDeliver chemotherapy/Immunotherapy cancer and related treatmentsRecognise and respond to physical and supportive care needs related to cancer diagnosisCollaborative team approach within a multidisciplinary teamWork with others to achieve best possible outcomes for patientsOur team requires someone who has:Developed oncology nursing skillsOncology nursing qualifications are highly regarded and/or suitable recent clinical experienceWell-developed interpersonal skillsA proactive approach, is highly motivated and well organizedA professional manner at all timesThis position requires motivated and driven individuals who have demonstrated skills and experience in leadership. The ANUM will also work closely with visiting clinicians and other key personnel, enhancing patient-centered care and communication, and enabling effective and timely care planning.This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
