The Operational Forest Management Coordinator ensures all applicable DEECA forest management works are planned, approved and communicated through the Operational Forest Management Program (OFMP), which includes Strategic Fuel Break, roading, hazardous tree treatment and other non-fuel management works.
To achieve this, you will liaise with regional and subject matter experts; ensure effective governance, monitoring and reporting requirements are in place, and ensure government and departmental program targets are incorporated into the OFMP.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
Tertiary qualification(s) including qualification(s) in natural resource or environmental management, public policy or similar is desirable. Significant experience in coordinating large scale operational programs in a public sector environment. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
