It is responsible for leading the design and implementation of the Floodzoom Intelligence Platform including spatial data visualisation and analytics tools underpinned by robust data management, user access and authentication processes.
As the leader of flood and risk information, it has a strong focus on leading an effective and proactive risk culture and ensuring the department continues to drive best practice flood and risk-informed decision making.
What you'll bring We're looking for a proactive self-starter who thrives on delivering outstanding results with others. You will have a proven track record in applying both agile and waterfall delivery methods while also following standard departmental governance practices to deliver project sprints on time and within budget. Your extensive spatial industry experience leading the implementation and development of web-based, spatial tools and services, along with your experience in using and developing tools and services that manage, manipulate and visualise 3D data, will set you up for success in this role. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Relevant industry and domain experience: Extensive spatial industry experience leading the implementation and development of web-based, spatial tools and services is desirable. 3D Data, visualisation tools and Geospatial standards: You are an experienced user and developer of tools and services that manage, manipulate and visualise 3D data. Government experience: Experience working within government is highly desirable. Understands the impact of external events and changing stakeholder needs on the organisation and government. Floodplain management: An understanding of the floodplain management policies and practices in Victoria is desirable. This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
