This position is responsible for guiding and training our network of Agronomists and Livestock Production Advisors, ensuring they have the technical expertise needed to service our clients and help grow their business. As an industry specialist and part of the State Leadership Team, this role will mentor staff, foster professional development, and drive collaboration to enhance overall performance in agronomic and livestock production disciplines.ResponsibilitiesLead the development of a state-wide agronomy and livestock production advisory strategy to help us grow our service offering and further develop our network of Agronomists.Induct and develop graduate agronomists and Livestock Production Advisors (LPAs) to ensure a strong foundation in agronomy and livestock production practices.Support the Agronomist and LPA network in achieving sales and earnings targets within their branches.Provide guidance to the Agronomist network on delivering agronomic technical expertise and recommending appropriate products and services to clients.Facilitate tailored technical training and development programs for the Agronomist network to enhance their skills.Identify market trends and collaborate with the Area Manager and State Rural Products Specialists on product forecasting and inventory management.Actively participate in the marketing and promotion of branch products, representing the organization at campaigns, field days, and community events.About YouYou possess extensive experience as an agronomist and have a strong background in sales within the agricultural industry.Your advanced client relationship skills allow you to build trust and effectively communicate with stakeholders.You have expert knowledge of agronomy disciplines, including crops, weeds, diseases, pastures, and horticulture.You demonstrate strong leadership skills, guiding teams to achieve targets and ensuring accountability for performance.You are proactive in promoting workplace health and safety, demonstrating visible leadership in safety culture.A degree in Agriculture, along with relevant certifications, complements your practical experience and enhances your qualifications for this role.About EldersAs a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
