The Position
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine vacancy for a permanent position in Northern New South Wales. We have multiple part-time or full-time positions available.

You will provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Geriatrician services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care. Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
Health Service
Services include emergency, trauma and critical care, surgical services, cancer services, women's care and newborn services, paediatric services, renal unit, intensive care, cardiac catheter laboratory, Mental Health inpatient facilities. Outpatient services are provided from our dedicated Outpatients department in the main hospital building, and include physiotherapy, fracture clinics, antenatal clinics, occupational therapy and paediatric outpatients.

Essential Criteria
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Geriatrician, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
Demonstrated ability to provide services within Geriatric Medicine at a tertiary referral teaching hospital.
Demonstrated capacity for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Knowledge of recent advances in relevant medical area.

$262,376 - $323,777 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience
