You are highly experienced lead network engineer in building customer focussed solutions. We are a growing team within the bank and constantly involved in industry changing solutions. We are responsible for connectivity end to end across the entire CBA branch & corporate network environment covering Australia.
The team is embarking on an exciting network transformation program involving SDWAN with a complete change of the network topology to enrich the network experiences of CBA employees.
As a member of the Workplace and Workforce network team you will be leading the development, design, and operation of network services. You are expected to contribute to roadmaps and continually evolve how network services are delivered and use your experience to support & troubleshoot user impacting incidents.

You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager/Chapter Lead with the autonomy to develop and learn in the role. You will be required to bring your best self to ensure the network services across the Network portfolio is best in class.
Core Responsibilities (but not limited to): Develop re-useable solutions in line with the latest software and hardware trends. Driving automation through understanding processes and implementing improvements. Develop and support programs to enable Zero Trust security architecture. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership to improve their skills to support them in performing their best. Configure and troubleshoot all forms of connectivity issues. We're interested in hearing from people who Are familiar with the Full Cycle model, where engineers are involved in Design, Build, Test, deploy and Run. Have a passion for working with advanced enterprise networks. Have experience with technology in a large organization. Can guide and mentor engineers. Have thought leadership. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
Network Automation & CI/CD Pipeline: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, APIs, and automation scripts, leverage Python, and PowerShell scripting for automation, utilise automation tools such as Ansible to enhance automation workflow. Design and Architecture: Enterprise network design (Traditional WAN, SD-WAN, LAN, Wireless) and implement Management and monitoring tools, create essential network artefacts including Test Cases and high-level and detailed designs, conduct Wireless Survey. Network Engineering Fundamentals: Advanced Routing and Switching, SD-WAN, Enterprise Network Security (Firewall, IDS/IPS, NAC, Wireless Security), Network Management, Wireless Network, SDWAN Deployment. Network Operation: Oversee network performance and health. Manage and maintain network configuration, Incident and Problem management, Performance Monitoring and reporting, Execute/SDWAN monitoring and Runbook tasks, Change management.
