Peel Health Campus is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km south of Perth, known for its stunning beaches, internationally significant wetlands, and some of Australia's most spectacular waterways for boating, fishing, and wildlife.
It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licensed beds, bays, and treatment areas.
SMHS delivers quality, safe, and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for education and training in relation to clinical practices and plans, implementing and evaluating orientation, education, and training at the ward or unit level.
You will be required to facilitate and promote patient safety and quality of care and work collaboratively to ensure service is delivered in accordance with health service policy and standards.
The Staff Development Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

This is a Permanent Part Time or Fixed Term Part Time appointment available at 38 hrs per f/n with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service.
In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
