Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital In this role you will support a high performing admissions service by being the first line of support to team members in ensuring the overall integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all patient admissions and theatre bookings, while providing a personalised admissions service.
The Position Undertakes validation and quality control of all theatre bookings and liaise with theatre regarding theatre lists. Coordinate theatre bookings and related activities. Prints and distributes daily theatre lists and reports as required. Process surgical bookings in Webpas from theatre lists received via doctors rooms. Follow up missing consents day prior to admission. Monitor "inbox" and file theatre lists accordingly. Facilitate all aspects of bookings cancellations and rescheduling and inform pre admissions clerical team. Assist with conducting routine quality audits. Liaise with patients, doctor's rooms and other key stakeholders. Act as a role model, facilitating a spirit of teamwork and collegial support, ensuring a high level of patient centricity. Support team members, sharing knowledge in an open and supportive manner for the benefit and knowledge development of all members of the team. You will have sound experience working in an admissions or administrative environment and a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of theatre procedures.
To succeed you will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills with excellent planning and organisational ability. You will also have a high level of attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
