ABOUT THE ROLE This role requires an IT professional with expertise in infrastructure, networking, security, and user environments to deliver secure, scalable solutions while ensuring business continuity. Key responsibilities include managing core infrastructure services, supporting End User Computing, troubleshooting issues, and balancing daily operations with IT projects. SUMMARY KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, SKILLS AND ABILITY Server Infrastructure Support virtual server environments, preferably Nutanix AHV, ensuring high availability, reliability, and seamless failover for production and DR systems. Manage patch cycles for Windows Server and Linux environments to maintain security and stability. Address hardware failures by coordinating with vendors for part replacement with minimal service disruption. Network Infrastructure Manage virtual and physical networks, specifically HP Aruba Switches, including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLAN segmentation. Support and administer IPAM systems for efficient IP address management. Maintain HP Aruba Wi-Fi with ClearPass and RADIUS for secure, reliable wireless connectivity. Proficient in firewall management, preferably Palo Alto firewalls. Data Backup Manage backups using Veeam and Synology storage servers. Utilise Synology Active Backup to back up Microsoft 365 services (user mailboxes, SharePoint, and Teams sites). Cloud Services Administer Exchange Online for mailboxes, distribution groups, and mail flow. Manage Microsoft licensing to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency. Support Microsoft Entra ID services, including hybrid identity synchronisation and security policies. User Environments Provide support across Windows, Apple Mac, and iPad environments, with expertise in managing devices using MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune or JAMF. Operational Efficiency Assist and report to the Director of IT Services on system improvements to optimize costs and efficiency. Additional Skills (Desirable) Manage Docker containers on Linux and reverse proxy configurations. Support Ubiquiti NVR camera systems, PABX systems, and Jacques PA Systems. Experience with UPS management, including monitoring and battery replacements.
