People & Culture Business Partner/Leader – ER, Operational HR, Payroll You are the trusted right hand to the Chief People & Culture Officer, in charge of delivering the employee relations, industrial relations and payroll strategies. You are a natural supporter and cheerleader for the People & Culture team – you have your Manager's back and you enjoy giving your time to invest in the development of your Payroll and People & Culture Officers.
You are one of those HR professionals, where your talents shine in all things People & Culture, but you excel in employee relations, industrial relations, payroll and reporting. You are great with people and equally as good with numbers. As a natural born leader, people navigate to you for guidance and coaching, because you're approachable, you always follow through and deliver on your commitments and you know your stuff! You know how to work in a business partnering model, ensuring that we are coaching our key stakeholders to lead people confidently and well, with employee engagement at the forefront of everything we do. On top of that, you have a creative flare and zest for life, that just makes you one of the coolest kids to work with.
A day on the job will see you:
Coaching our leaders and providing timely generalist HR advice to our employees which may include employee relations, learning and development and performance management issues. Managing all employee relations matters to decrease risk and deliver fair and equitable outcomes with the interests of both employees and the company in mind. Overseeing the payroll function, to deliver on time and accurate pays every fortnight, while working to improve our processing efficiency. You are also a bit of a guru with HRIS and Payroll systems, and you are not afraid to challenge the status quo. Developing and delivering all management and board reports, keeping an eye on our people and culture performance, making recommendations for continuous improvement. Assisting with organisational development initiatives and other HR projects, including our values refresh project, cultural improvement plan and review of core policies and procedures, delivering training and workshops to support implementation and learning. Coordinating injury management processes, developing suitable return to work plans to reduce downtime from injuries. Your application will go to the top of our shortlist if you have:
Experience working in a similar role, with qualifications in HR or something related (Cert IV minimum). Drive, energy, initiative, influential, with solutions focus and the ability to have crucial conversations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can demonstrate your creative flare and you think outside of the box, bringing modern technology into excellent service delivery. Shared values with the rest of the team. Pay: Competitive salary, plus NFP salary packaging giving you the potential to gain $15,900 in tax benefits. Leave: 23 days annual leave, that's 3 days more than the standard 4 weeks. For 60 years, St Bart's has supported people experiencing homelessness and severe and persistent mental health issues as they rebuild their lives. We started as a small homeless shelter for men and have grown into a progressive and inclusive organisation providing support to hundreds of Western Australian men, women and families across four key service areas. Our goal is to provide safe, supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most, regardless of background, age, gender or ethnicity.
