Sr.
Product Compliance Associate-French Language skilled (This job/Vacancy will be based on a fixed term contract (12 months Contract) up for renewal or transition to permanent contract)
Working Schedule for this Job/Vacancy is 5 days a week including Saturday and Sunday.
Weekly days off will be Friday and another day of the candidate's preference.
The Product Compliance teams ensure that Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements.
We coordinate the aspects of product transactions that are regulated (distribution, shipping, sale, and import/export).
This involves analyzing product import documentation and flagging hazardous risks.
We are also responsible for keeping Amazon customers safe and informed by coordinating actions around food safety recalls.
These actions include removing recalled/restricted products from the site and from our warehouses, and contacting customers with pertinent safety information.
Job responsibilities
As a Senior Compliance Associate, you will:
- Get multiple opportunities to develop your functional expertise and offer the autonomy to make decisions, implement ideas, and measure results.
- Analyze product import documentation, flag risks, and ensure that transactions are legal and safe.
- Ensure that the imported products have been tested in certified laboratories and that they comply with the legal requirements of the importing country.
- Classify products based on their potential hazardous risk, for regulatory storage and transportation purposes.
- Take appropriate actions to protect customers from recalled or unsafe products.
- Identify and remove from the website products that violate our Restricted Products policies and satisfy Amazon's regulatory obligations for these products.
- Improve optimization and standardization of global trade processes and best practices within Amazon's internal businesses.
- Review products to ensure regulatory compliance on all products that are made available for sale on Amazon from all sources.
- Write rules to identify and action unsafe and non-compliant products.
- Suppress products based on authorities announcements.
- Create rules and audit the Amazon website to restrict unsafe products.
- Identify and remove from the website products that violate our Food Safety policies and proactively satisfy Amazon's regulatory obligations for these products.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of data-driven business operations processes experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Excel
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Arabic
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Speak, write, and read fluently in French
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of consumer product compliance processes and regulations
- Experience in regulatory compliance management with government agencies
- Knowledge of basic SQL.
- Proficiency in other languages (e.g.
German, Italian, Turkish)
