Senior Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across GSF Distribution Network, including DG Hubs (Dry Grocery Hub), LPC (Light Processing Center), and Ambient Grocery, ensuring achievement of budgetary, people development, and operational objectives.This role involves managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength across the GSF distribution network. Senior Operations Managers report to GSF Business operations leader/Director.He/She will drive the operations across the country (~3 regions), and will lead the launch & expansion of DG Hubs, LPC, and Ambient Grocery network. This role will also encompass leading cost plans, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable the RDFC sites to meet and exceed Business objectives.Key job responsibilitiesSets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Ops and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Multi Site Managers-MSMs (L6s) & Area Managers accountable for both their own performance and their sites' performance.Leverages the MSMs & Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and implementing improvement plans.Works closely with partner staff (HR Manager, Finance Manager, Fresh Category team, Product team) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing support for cross-functional initiatives as needed.Address & resolves operational and personnel issues affecting functional area. Surface issues with potential that could impact multiple functional areas, propose solutions and share the same with Ops leader & Director, GSF Operations.Coordinates with the S&OP team for Stores volumes and future capacity planning, to adequately prepare the FC to meet business needs.Interacts with the trans team to enable smooth operations, ensuring steady flow and timely dispatch of customer orders.Responsible for the overall safety, cost, quality and performance and customer experience.Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and the network.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSØ 10+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environmentØ Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniquesØ Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidaysØ Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminationsØ Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasonsØ Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situationsØ Interest in long-term career developmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSØ Degree in Engineering from a reputed university, MBA preferred
