As a member of the ANZ Leadership Team, you will play a key role in supporting our overall ANZ business strategy while ensuring compliance with law and company policies.Responsibilities:Lead all aspects of all legal and compliance matters in ANZ, including commercial, competition, governance, IP, litigation, and regulatory issues.Work closely with the ANZ leadership team and regional/global teams on commercial contracts and proposals, providing legal advice on a variety of business issues.Collaborate with regional and global teams to develop and implement a compliance program that aligns with the Company's philosophy and local laws.Interact with business groups and divisions in ANZ on various issues, such as promotional practices and product liabilities.Build and lead a strong legal team.Develop and implement an annual operating plan for ANZ, including staffing and budget management.Requirements:Bachelor of Law degree from a recognised university/law school.15+ years of experience as a lawyer in Australia.Experience representing healthcare/life science or other regulated-sector companies.Proven ability to work with major corporations and adopt a variety of legal approaches.Excellent business sense, good judgment, and strong influencing skills.Ability to develop practical processes and drive solutions to completion.Experience in team building and management, with strong communication and organizational change skills.Fluent in spoken and written English.Thermo Fisher Scientific is an equal opportunity employer and offers accessibility services for job seekers requiring accommodations in the application process.
