Department NSW government Closing date 13/11/2024 Estimated Start date ASAP Contract length Till 30/04/2025     Description:   Compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization.
Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
Requires a bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
May lead and direct the work of others.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Typically reports to a manager.
The Branch is responsible for: · Leading branch's procurement transactions when they are approved by government · Managing complex commercial services agreements to deliver more social and affordable housing and services · Monitoring and managing branch provider (ServiceCo) performance to deliver better outcomes for department's clients in line with program objectives · Contributing to the development of department contract management frameworks and systems to ensure there is a sound platform for effectively managing branch agreements over their 25 year term The Senior Financial Analyst requires the following in addition to the capabilities outlined in the role description: · Demonstrated knowledge and experience in complex performance based payment streams · High level knowledge of commercial financing arrangements for large scale infrastructure projects including interest rate hedging and the characteristics of different commercial structures; · Experience in developing complex financial forecasting models; · Strong financial management skills including demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and rules.
