Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience : Minimum of 12-15 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 10 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
Proven track record of working on software development and implementation projects , ideally with experience in customer-facing portals and product configuration tools .
Technical Proficiency : Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), particularly Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with API integration , cloud-based solutions , and modern technologies used in the insurance sector.
Experience with Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) , UML , or other modeling techniques.
Insurance Domain Knowledge : Deep knowledge of insurance processes, including broker management, underwriting, policy administration, and product configuration.
Familiarity with policy and product management systems used in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
Ability to perform a gap analysis and recommend changes to meet business objectives.
Documentation & Communication : Proficient in documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and technical workflows.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong presentation skills for effectively conveying findings and recommendations to senior management.
Teamwork & Leadership : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, product managers, and business users.
Experience leading business analysis efforts in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications : Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is preferred.
Any additional Agile or project management certifications (e.g., PMI-PBA , CSPO , PSPO ) are a plus.
Tools & Technologies : Experience using Agile project management and collaboration tools like JIRA , Confluence , or similar platforms.
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI , Tableau , or similar tools is a plus.
Experience with insurance product configuration tools , policy administration systems , or broker management systems is desirable.
