THE ROLE: You'll be responsible for optimising and managing our assets and portfolio within the spot physical markets.
This includes executing effective short-term trading and commercial strategies, as well as managing commodity market risk exposures.
Additionally, you'll oversee the real-time and day-ahead power and gas positions to ensure optimal performance and risk management.

ABOUT YOU: Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant area.Experience across generation, gas, and retail business commercial operations, relating to a physical spot market, preferably in Australia.Thorough understanding of power and gas system operations.Excellent communication skills, effective time management, and prioritisation skills.Intermediate to Advanced IT competency e.g., MS Excel and typical energy market trading systems.Strong analytical skills - ability to create models and analyse data in order to reinforce commercial decisions and understand market conditions.Ability to analyse problems and identify appropriate and effective solutions in pressurised situations.
