THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our small dynamic LiveBig team in Cairns!
Full-time permanent
Can be based anywhere in Cairns (hybrid role)
Administering and interpreting a wide range of audiometric tests to determine hearing efficiency and locate sites of detected hearing problems
Interpreting audiometric test results alongside other medical, social and behavioural diagnostic data
Evaluating total response pattern and acoustic tests to distinguish between organic and non-organic hearing loss
Planning, directing and participating in counselling, speech reading and other rehabilitation programs
You will have a diverse caseload providing high quality clinical supports in home or community settings such as schools and group homes
You will be responsible for providing assessment, intervention, reporting, therapy planning and clinical recommendation within the scope of your clinical discipline.
Full flexibility to be based from home to complete reporting and administration in support of your caseload.
Also access to a central office location if you like to work in an office environment on a weekly or monthly basis (flexible)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will have SPA registration as a Speech Pathologist
A passion for working with people with a disability and NDIS and/or disability sector experience is preferred but not essential
Paediatric and/or adult experience is highly desirable
Experience working in a community services setting (desirable)
A willingness to provide services within the community, including in-home
Excellent time management skills and organisational skills
IT skills at an intermediate level including computer and mobile, and a willingness to embrace new technology
