Connected Kids Allied Health is a private allied health clinic servicing children and their families in the Ballarat region.

We work collaboratively with families, schools and other healthcare providers to ensure that the child has the best possible support team in place, because we believe that every child should have every opportunity to achieve their goals & dreams.About the role: The successful applicant will be required to work independently with clients across NDIS and non-NDIS populations in the areas of speech, language, literacy, social skills, stuttering and other communication disorders.
Hours and work structure are negotiable for the right applicant, to suit your work-life balance.
The speech pathologist will be required to conduct speech and language assessments on individuals aged 0-18 years, deliver therapeutic interventions, and visit people within the community including their home, school, kinder or childcare environments.
Experience in assessing and treating communication disorders is preferred but not essential. A willingness to learn and improve is the most important aspect of an application for this position. New graduates are welcome to apply.
Our speech pathologist will have access to fortnightly one-to-one supervision with a senior speech pathologist, group supervision, peer mentoring, in-house training and a generous annual professional development allowance.
Qualifications & experience: Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalentEligibility for application for Speech Pathology Australia membershipCurrent Driver's LicenceCurrent Police CheckWorking with Children CheckTasks & responsibilities: As our speech pathologist, you'll be independently conducting evidence-based assessment and therapeutic intervention for clients presenting with a wide range of communication challenges.
Therapists are also required to carry out basic administration duties such as:
Keeping accurate and timely file notesManaging a clinical calendarCreating resources (when necessary)Writing assessment reportsNDIS ReportingCommunicating clearly and professionally with all clinical stakeholders, including supervisors, colleagues, parents, clients and educational supportsHybrid model - clinic and community-based sessions, plus the opportunity to work from homeFlexibility in work hours/days, to support your work-life balanceAccess to regular supervision and peer mentoringProfessional Development opportunities (annual allowance)A dynamic, supportive and collaborative team environmentAccess to information and technology systems to undertake your work requirementsRenumeration: Employment is under the Health Professionals & Support Services Award 2020, with above award salary.
