Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 45 Catholic Schools with around 18,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
About the Role This is an exciting time to join our Student Achievement team as we enhance the way we build teacher capacity, as well as cohesive systems of support to create inclusive learning environments which maximise learning growth for our students with diverse learning needs.
Reporting to the Learner Diversity Lead, your key focus as a specialised practitioner will be building the capability of our teachers to support students with diverse learning requirements through collaborative coaching and professional learning, reporting and data analysis to ensure compliance with our NCCD obligations, and expert case management support regarding individual students.
This is a permanent full-time position based at our office in Pennant Hills.
Key Responsibilities Supporting school leaders and teachers to build differentiated learning cultures, and to review, analyse and adjust teaching programs and practices to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse learning requirements. Support schools in developing data literacy to review and analyse school and student data to identify student needs. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in diversity and across general learning and teaching. Working in multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver the goals of our Towards 2025 Strategy. Identifying opportunities for effective partnerships to support innovative and contemporary education. Effectively communicating and collaborating with stakeholders to implement our Vision and contribute to a work environment built on trust and high standards of professional behaviour. About You You must be supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context. Working understanding of NSW syllabus documents, with subject matter expertise in inclusive education and students with a disability. Understanding of curriculum, the regulatory requirements, and current developments, related to quality teaching and leadership in diverse learning and students with a disability. Practical understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, the Australian Professional Standard for Principals, the Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework, and the Australian Charter for Professional Learning of Teachers and School Leaders, and the National School Improvement Tool. Knowledge of and experience in leading NCCD processes to enhance inclusive school cultures. Deep understanding of effective pedagogy and assessment practices. Has a solutions-focused mindset. Understands the connections between strategic goals and operational activities within Student Achievement, for each individual school and the impact on teaching and learning in each context. Understands and appreciates performance growth and adult learning and associated methodologies. Qualifications Highly skilled teacher with teaching and leadership experience working with students with disability. Qualifications in child psychology would be considered an asset. Valid Working with Children Check. Current and valid NSW Driver's Licence and own car. Benefits of Working with Us Competitive salary of $152,512.89 plus Superannuation on offer.
