The Specialist: SC Improvement & Governance provides direct output support to the SCM Strategy & Planning Manager through managing the regional supply chain transformation process through change management and embedding of business Improvement systems and principles.
Accountabilities Coordinate the Supply Chain Management Operating System (MOS) in execution of projects and programs within the Region. Work collaboratively with the global team to develop, implement, maintain standard KPIs and reports, processes, etc. in alignment with the global Supply Chain roadmap. Identify opportunities for common supply across company assets. In collaboration with technical experts (where applicable), apply analytical tools and techniques to identify on an ongoing basis business process analysis and process re-engineering to obtain dramatic and sustained improvements in quality, efficiencies, throughput and flexibility. Manage supply chain transformation projects within the region to support the drive of maturity and value in the delivery of key supply chains optimization initiatives as per the agreed transformation roadmap. Lead and facilitate business optimization workshops within the region, to achieve optimum output by maximizing contribution and buy in from individual team members. Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the global Supply Chain team to continuously improve processes aimed at increasing overall efficiency and support to the business. A degree qualification in a relevant mining / engineering / commerce related discipline or equivalent work experience. A qualification in analytics i.e. Lean Six Sigma Applied Math, Statistics etc. is a plus. Minimum 5-8 years' business experience in supply chain management and demonstrated managerial proficiency. Experience in diverse workforce and cultures, cyclical growth within a dynamic mining environment. Strong problem-solving capabilities using both interpersonal communication skills and appropriate Business Improvement frameworks and methodologies. Understanding of the supply chain processes (e.g., source to contract, source to pay, all workflows, logistics, inventory, warehousing and all governance steps). Sound knowledge of the supply chain value chain and enabling processes. In-depth knowledge and understanding of various types of business improvement tools and methodologies. Application is required in supply chain systems i.e. SAP ECC and SAP Ariba. Existing permanent working rights in Australia (Mandatory).
