About the RoleWe are currently recruiting a number of Project Management roles to work within our site operations and Perth based teams.
These roles range from graduate level with minimal experience through to experienced Project Managers with 15 years+ experience.
Less experienced applicants that are successful, will be placed within teams where the necessary support, training and mentoring will be provided to develop their skill and proficiency as fully fledged project managers.
Reporting to the Project Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
Project managing multiple projects to scope, budget, schedule and specifications, and in accordance with relevant processesContinually seeking opportunities to reduce risk and optimise delivery taking accountability for outcomes and demonstrating controlEngage with other Engineering sub-functions, Operational teams, Supply and external consultants, contractors, suppliers and vendors to coordinate expertise and support for execution of your projectsEnsure that progress on your projects are monitored and reported regularly.
Ensure that action is taken to address deviations from the approved baseline schedulesEnsure all HSE, technical and commercial risks are identified and managed effectively within your projectsUndertake quality field leadership activities, and provide feedback within team and to othersEnsure all incidents, near misses and hazards are reported and investigated in compliance with Our RequirementsManage the handover to the Operation and ensuring all relevant change control documentation has been updated to as-built status.
Updating of all relevant 1SAP Master Data Changes as requiredDemonstrate an overriding commitment to the BHP Charter valuesAbout YouThe successful candidate will possess the following:
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within remote teamsLearning agility - demonstrated ability to learn quickly, taking accountability, ensuring learnings are used as a platform for improvementProven ability to manage challenges in proactive positive manner, with a problem solving mindsetStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders effectivelyStrong commercial acumenStrong attention to detailProficiency and confidence to present in both written and oral formatsTertiary qualified or equivalent relevant industry experienceFormal project management qualifications and accreditation, or experience within BHP an advantageAbout WAIO EngineeringWAIO Engineering is the technical authority within Iron Ore providing engineering expertise to ensure our assets are safe, compliant, reliable and efficient.
The multidisciplinary team work collaboratively with the operational and projects team to manage the equipment through its entire life cycle.
