The Role Adbri Cement is looking for a dedicated Process Improvement Specialist at our Birkenhead site in Adelaide. In this role you, you will play a crucial role in improving operational efficiency, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will work closely with various engineers and technical management to drive continuous improvement in asset performance.

Responsibilities: Deliver and manage a process improvement framework. Develop asset performance assessment tools for grinding and burning operations. Standardise the assessment of grinding and burning assets and develop tools for site distribution. Benchmark performance of grinding and burning assets across the business. Conduct thermal and electrical energy assessments and develop improvement plans to reduce costs. Provide coaching and guidance on optimisation and operation of burning and grinding processes to engineers and production personnel. Investigate and implement new technologies for monitoring and controlling grinding and burning operations. Analyse data, conduct root cause analysis, and propose innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Ensure all work complies with or exceeds company safety and environmental standards. Conduct and review risk assessments and HAZOPs. What You Will Need to Succeed A Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline. Certifications in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in cement manufacturing. Extensive experience in grinding, pyro-processing, and alternative fuels. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work across different locations as needed. Passion in continuous improvement and driving innovation.
