To create a fairer and better future for all children inSouth Australia by implementing the accepted recommendations of theRoyal Commission into Early Childhood Education andCare.As thesteward of the early childhood development system, the Office willact on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with thesector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmentalvulnerability.Thisincludes strategy for the provision of quality preschool for allthree and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000days of a child's life and implementing a workforcestrategy.About the Role:TheManager, Workforce Strategy will lead a team of policy, project andworkforce advisors/leads in the design, project management, andimplementation of governmental policy development and key workforceattraction and retention strategies for Teachers and Educatorsacross the Early Childhood Education and CareSector.Theposition will be responsible workforce strategies that support theimplementation of three-and four-year-old preschool in SouthAustralia. They will lead their team to collaborate and consultwith key stakeholders in the early childhood sector to facilitatepositive outcomes for the OECD Workforce Strategy. The efforts willcontribute to the overarching goal of providing accessible,effective, and impactful preschool that benefits children andfamilies across South Australia.Capabilities and experience you willbring:Strong projectmanagement skills, including proficiency in developing andexecuting strategic plans to oversee the development andimplementation of workforce and quality improvement programseffectively.Demonstratedleadership experience in workforce strategy and planning,including in human services, education, community services orother related disciplines.Extensiveexperiencing in analysing and evaluating complex and sensitivepolicy issues and developing policy options under broaddirection.Highly developedinterpersonal and relationship building skills withdemonstrated success establishing networks and workingcollaboratively to achieve outcomes.SpecialConditions:Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry.
