You will be responsible for partnering with a range of stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality home and vehicle modifications for National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ) participants.
This role supports outcomes for the National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (NIISQ Agency), Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and Nominal Defendant (ND) (collectively referred to as the Motor Accident Insurance Schemes Queensland or MAIS-Q). The employing entity for this role is NIISQ Agency.
Your roleProvide expert strategic and operational advice and guidance in relation to home and vehicle modifications for Scheme participants.Provide participants, their family and carers with information about the NIISQ and NIISQ Agency as it relates to home and vehicle modifications.Deliver a key liaison and coordination function across internal stakeholders, participants, providers, and external Advisors, assisting to maintain high quality service outcomes for NIISQ participants.Lead and support other team members in decision-making by providing expert technical guidance, coaching, and peer supervision.Track and monitor home and vehicle modifications projects/activities, including liaison with providers to achieve best outcome for NIISQ participants.Assess and approve necessary and reasonable home and vehicle modification requests within delegated authority.Lead the development and continuous improvement of strategies, policies, procedures and resources to enhance the quality of home and vehicle modification outcomes for participants.Support the effective management of home and vehicle modifications complaints and incidents.Provide housing options advice and support.About youTo be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:
A comprehensive understanding of home and vehicle modifications and housing options for people with severe injuries, in the context of the health, disability or injury insurance sectors, and current business acumen.Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-management skills, ability to communicate complex information, set clear expectations and engage in difficult conversations in an empathetic manner with a variety of stakeholders including Participants, providers, external Advisors and internal stakeholders.A proven track record in making sound decisions and recommendations based on relevant evidence in a statutory environment.Highly developed organisational and project management skills displaying a collaborative, autonomous, flexible and agile working style and approach.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.
