Category Specialist - Legal & Investigations Join icare's Strategic Partnering and Performance teamPermanent full time role | Open to candidates from Sydney, Parramatta, Gosford, Wollongong, NewcastleSalary GRADE 9/10, Starting from $120,000 + super, plus benefitsAbout the Role The Category Specialist – NI/TMF Legal & Investigations is responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned Workers Compensation Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) and Nominal Insurer (NI) schemes third party service provider (TPSP) categories and contracts.
Duties It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Category Specialist – Legal & Investigations you will:
Maintain a constant emphasis on the core vision of icare, that is make the complex simple so our schemes deliver better outcomes for those we serve.Be responsible for and own the performance of the assigned categories by defining the categories' role within icare, developing value propositions and providing trusted, expert advice through gathering and analysing data, attending industry forums and understanding supplier capabilities.Develop and implement strategic category plans and initiatives to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes.Build and maintain strong stakeholder and supplier relationships through formal and informal channels to understand required business outcomes, gain industry intelligence and provide expert recommendations to suppliers and business stakeholders on performance issues and identify areas of potential efficiencies.Develop and promulgate appropriate supplier and category performance reports and coordinate supplier meetings and advisory groups, in consultation with Senior Commercial Manager and key business stakeholders.Monitor, report and advise on performance and value for money within the defined categories.Skills & Experience Demonstrated extensive experience in category management or equivalent in a large and complex service industry organisation.Minimum 5 years' category management experience or equivalent.Strong knowledge of category and stakeholder/supplier relationship management.Ability to analyse data and develop accurate conclusions to support the assigned categories.A willingness to understand the market and develop recommendations based on intelligence, insights and trends.Experience in delivering category management activities that are fully consistent with all relevant NSW Government legislative, probity and policy requirements.Knowledge of SIRA and APRA regulations.This role will be known as Commercial Specialist - Legal & Investigations at icare.
