Specialist, eCom Platforms (Marketplace) Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Responsible for sustainable profitable and brand share and net sales growth of eCommerce platforms and Marketplace customers including The Iconic, eBay and The DOM with scope for future onboarded partners. As Marketplace is inherently modular to each partner's requirements/capabilities, there is a significant focus on following specific and dynamic processes to maximise this growth.
The candidate will be the key point of contact to manage administrative Marketplace tasks to ensure the smooth operation of all partners. Tasks include, but are not limited to order management, product cataloguing and integration maintenance. They will also be leading the customer service team in dealing with all ad hoc issues that arise to ensure best in class customer experience for each Marketplace account.
In this function, the candidate will be responsible for positively influencing Demand KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and P&L performance through ensuring smooth financial reconciliation with our finance team. By managing the order process end-to-end, the candidate will ensure that data on our internal system matches external Marketplace's systems.
Working in a cross-functional environment with Customer Service, Brand Marketing, Buying, Operations, Merchandising and Supply Chain, this role will be instrumental in ensuring adidas accelerates growth of Digital Platforms and Marketplace accounts.
Additionally, the scope of this role includes identifying and resolving technical bugs and/or errors on the site and improving operational processes, working with global and local teams responsible for systems, tools and processes linking in with eCommerce.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Marketplace Customer Service (focus on eBay disputes/messages) Work with the Customer Service and Warehouse teams to meet KPIs for order shipment and maintain adidas eCommerce standards for customers and partners. General Marketplace order management Oversee Marketplace cataloguing including fields such as imagery + product titles + general onsite visual merchandising Assist in maintaining adidas range on partner sites, working with the eCommerce Buyer and DPC/Wholesale teams to ensure range coverage and depth Oversee product, inventory, and order feeds between adidas internal systems, middleware providers and partners, troubleshooting issues as they arise. Proactive troubleshooting of inventory and product data Scope to have ownership over strategy for smaller Marketplace partners Other duties as required.
KPIs:
Adherence to defined timelines, completeness of content delivered. Project delivery: agreed timelines, budgets and impact assessed. Project / Process KPI's met in full. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A high degree of computer competency; in particular, the ability to work in numerous applications at one time and correlate information from one application to the next including a basic understanding of different file formats. Experience with content management systems, and an understanding of the system landscape commonly present in an eCommerce environment The candidate must be self-directed and able to work in a highly flexible and informally structured environment. Exemplary multi-tasking and time management skills are a necessity Strong interpersonal skills to build cohesive relationships with stakeholders Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University Degree preferred (In eCommerce, marketing or related) Experience in Sales and account management (or other Digital Wholesale account) Proven methodological skills (e.g., business analytics and planning, strategic development) Knowledge of local eCommerce landscape Effective communication skills required to engage stakeholders Understanding of key Digital success metrics along the consumer journey on- and off-site (Conversion, click-through rate etc.) Understanding of retailer's financial metrics (sales, inventory, margin, returns etc.) Proficient in MS Office adidas celebrates diversity, supports inclusiveness and encourages individual expression in our workplace.
