About ACIA division The Access, Critical Care, Imaging and Ambulatory Services Division incorporates the following specialties across Austin Health sites with the objective of providing efficient and coordinated patient-focused service. We are on a journey of innovation, recently implementing digital reform and continuous improvement projects aimed at improving efficiency across all areas of the business to enhance our consumer experience.
About the role The Billing Administrator role will provide professional, efficient and patient-centered support to billing administration tasks across several Austin Health Emergency, Radiology and Specialist Clinics as required to enhance patient access and service delivery.
You will be working as part of a supportive team and meeting the accountability requirements for the Department of Health (DoH) reporting and Medicare legislation (National Healthcare Reform Act). The role is central to Divisional initiatives to enhance patient care and meet Divisional and organizational key performance indicators.
This role will support the operational demands of all billing and revenue processes as a priority and will be required to work across the Emergency Department, Radiology and Specialist Clinics.
A regular day will see you: Communicate effectively with a range of business areas to ensure a high level of data integrity is achieved and maintained. Process patient billing information and raise invoicing for Emergency, Radiology, and outpatient/Specialist Clinics departments. Receive and check provider number information. Check Medicare information and adjust/complete to allow timely billing. Participate in auditing and error correction processes in line with Divisional requirements. About you As the Billing Administrator, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.
