Our Real Estate practice acts for major developers, investment funds and fund managers on all aspects of property work. This includes acquisitions and disposals, development "from concept to completion", project management, subdivisions, renewable energy and infrastructure projects and major leasing.
About the role
We are seeking a special counsel to join our Real Estate practice to work in our Sydney office together with property partners Samuel Brown and Jennifer McCosker and their team.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and run your own matters with a high level of autonomy. In addition to supporting Sam and Jennifer, there is the scope for you to build your own practice and carve out your niche in the group.
What does the role involve?
Working closely with clients, other members of the team and other practice groups on a variety of interesting and complex matters Assisting clients with their acquisitions and disposals of development sites and built form assets Advising on urban renewal projects and property developments Assisting clients with their investment and co-investment structuring Acting for landlords and tenants with their major leasing requirements Acting on property aspects of renewable energy and infrastructure projects Supporting other teams within the firm on the property aspects of their major projects and transactions Supporting the partner in building the practice by seeking out and acting on new client opportunities Maximising the skills development of junior lawyers by supervising and coaching Contributing to knowledge and learning resources. About You

You will ideally have experience working in a well-respected firm on a full range of property transactions, including development projects, investments, acquisitions, disposals and leasing. You are hardworking, dedicated and possess a high level of integrity when dealing with clients and colleagues, enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop additional specialist knowledge. A high level of client service is expected as are excellent organisational, written and oral communication skills.
