Special Counsel - Family Lawyer | $150,000 to $200,000 DOE | Sunshine Coast | Join a Premier FirmSalary: Salary package is fully based off years of Family Law PAE, Billables and what you can bring to the firm. The firm is led by a dedicated Principal known for a supportive and autonomous management style. The culture is collaborative and social, making it a fantastic environment for an experienced Family Lawyer to thrive.About the position:As a Special Counsel - Family Lawyer, you will manage junior lawyers and paralegals, providing mentorship to help them grow and develop their professional careers. You will handle complex family law cases, managing a caseload of 45-55 files. Your responsibilities will include meeting billable targets of 4.5-6.5 hours per day while supporting and guiding your team. This is an ideal role for an experienced Family Lawyer who has 5-20+ years of experience and has come from another well-established firm.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and mentor junior lawyers and paralegalsHandle complex family law cases, including divorce, separation, and property settlementsManage defacto and same-sex marriage matters, child support, and parenting agreementsRepresent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and mediationsRequirements for the role:5-20+ years PAE in Family Law, preferably from private practiceAccredited Specialist in Family Law is desirableProven ability to meet billable targets (4.5-6 hours per day) while managing a teamStrong track record of team management and developmentPositive attitude and a strong work ethicLocation Perks:The Sunshine Coast offers a stunning coastal lifestyle with beautiful beaches, excellent schools, and a warm climate.
