The Firm & The Role
Our client is a leading national law firm known for their legal services. Clients rely on this firm for their commercial approach. This firm's construction & infrastructure team acts for Tier 1 construction companies, government departments and agencies, private and publicly listed companies, and small and large businesses in Australia and overseas.
The partners in this team are recognised as leaders in the construction and infrastructure industry for their commerciality, depth of knowledge, and technical excellence.
Due to growth, the transactional side of our client's construction team is looking for an experienced lawyer (up to Special Counsel level) to assist in the structuring (and associated drafting) of major projects and deals. You will also provide advice on procurement options, financing, tender strategy, contract documentation, and negotiation through to contract administration.
You will work closely with the partners, have client responsibility, autonomy and freedom, and work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
About You
In addition to having experience in construction law, you will demonstrate the following qualities:
Strong drafting and technical skills
Driven and self-motivated to succeed
Excellent document management skills
First-class client and interpersonal skills
Ambitious with a desire to progress while maintaining a team player mindset to build strong internal relationships
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box
