Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (until 18 July 2025 - Maternity Leave cover)Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Grade 2Remuneration: $113,243.15 - $116,963.48 per annum, pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)Hours per Week: up to 32Requisition ID: REQ539547Applications Close: 5 January 2025Vaccination Category: AAbout Your RoleThe purpose of the Wellbeing and Health In-Reach Nurse (WHIN) Coordinator is to facilitate better identification and coordination of the response to health, wellbeing and social needs of school-age children and young people in a community setting, including in-reach in schools. This WHIN Coordinator position is based in a central school location and will provide outreach to other schools within the surrounding area.Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) and Clinical Midwife Specialist Grade 2 (CMS2) are crucial members of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District Nursing and Midwifery Workforce. The CNS2/CMS2 are responsible for the provision of high level patient centred, evidence-based clinical nursing care and is expected to embrace and lead a practice development philosophy in the delivery of that care.The CNS/CMS2 encompasses the core criteria of the CNS/CMS1 with additional characteristics of; exercises extended autonomy of decision making and exercises professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced clinical skills. This outcome is achieved through undertaking comprehensive nursing/midwifery assessments, providing expert consultation and educational support to staff, patients and family in the designated area of clinical practice. The CNS/CMS2 is responsible for evaluation and supervision in the provision of complex nursing/midwifery care directed towards patients/women within the designated area of clinical practice.The CNS/CMS2 will demonstrate the ability to act as a professional role model, delivering a high level capacity for patient advocacy and cost benefit practice while demonstrating the ability to act as a change agent, provide effective clinical leadership and the ability to practice as an autonomous professional with the capacity to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.Your application will require you to include a resume and cover letter outlining your skills and experience and why you are a good fit for this position.
