You will help nursing staff in hospitals and other health care establishments with non-medical duties including housekeeping, portering patients, and general assistance.
This varied and interesting role may include:
Transferring patients within the hospitalLinen maintenance & medical supply restockingCooking and/or preparing light refreshments for patientsGeneral cleaning as required including rooms and equipmentAssisting generally as directed by nursing staffYou will need to be reliable, punctual, energetic, physically fit, have a caring and supportive attitude, and use your good communication skills to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Remaining calm in emergencies and the capability to handle equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, and other medical equipment is also valued.
