Details of the offer

We are looking for a highly talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our award-winning team, set amongst the rainforest and a spectacular backdrop of the Daintree you will bring your love and expertise of fine food to elevate the dining experience to new heights for the region.
As our Sous Chef, you will support our Head Chef, ensuring the high standard of the kitchen with daily preparation and running of service.
You'll take responsibility for completing health and safety logs and inspecting incoming goods for quality.
Alongside amazing our guests with an exceptional culinary experience, they will always remember!
This is a full-time permanent position offering $70,000 to 75,000 plus super, depending on the level of experience you bring to the position.
We are open to candidates on a working holiday visa, and sponsorship may also be possible for the right candidate.
Couples are encouraged to apply as we have other roles available within the lodge.
We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have proven work experience as a Sous chef (or similar) in high-end restaurants or solid experience as a Chef de Partie looking for your next step.
Know how to manage your time, are highly organised, and work well under pressure
Are a team player with a positive attitude and a desire to bring fresh exciting ideas
Hold excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles.
Skilled in Catering for dietaries without compromising on enjoyment.
You'll be a natural communicator and support your team and staff around you
