The Robin Hood Hotel is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, experienced, and passionate trade qualified Sous Chef to join our team.The Position:We are seeking a passionate professional that is energetic, organised, and self-motivated with strong leadership qualities.
In this role it will be your responsibility to assist the head chef with the daily operation of the kitchen, and really run the show in their absence, ensuring quality and consistency are maintained across the board.This position offers a great opportunity for growth and career progression all packaged within an excellent company culture.The role:Ensuring food preparation, cooking and presentation is of a high standard at all times.Work independently and as part of a team to achieve a consistently excellent product.Menu development and planning.Demonstrate, implement, and maintain effective cost control strategies for both product and labour.Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with relevant regulatory authorities.Ensure HACCP, OHS compliance, and maintain correct food safety procedures.The Person:Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager you will be able to work a rotating roster over 5 days including lunch and dinner.You must be passionate about food and able to lead by example, with drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to motivate and develop staff, and be adept at maintaining a positive team environment.You must have the ability to work under pressure.What's in it for you?Great salary and work life balance;A professional and respectful working culture with a supportive team;If you are looking for long term, stable employment with competitive remuneration please submit a cover letter along with an up to date resume and kick-start your new career with us.Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis.
