Sourcing Specialist - Merchants

You will be responsible for strategic procurement management for the South Pacific region.
What you will enjoy doing You will lead Procurement plans for designated Merchant Product Spend area within South Pacific region. Ensure Procurement processes and standards are applied.Network within the Merchant related products Management team to identify opportunities for procurement to deliver benefits and added value and to ensure Procurement Processes and standards are applied. Deliver savings and value for designated Merchant product spend.You shall understand and contribute to the development of the regional commodity strategy for Merchant spend that will deliver against the set and agreed Procurement objectives.Implementation and conformance to sourcing policies and processes where applicable. Work closely with Data Systems & Processes team to ensure compliance.Your responsibility includes promoting the values of the company. Understanding principles of productivity and capture all contributions to benefits in Linde reporting tools.Execution of purchase contracts and supplier performance management. Be the escalation point for supplier related issues and resolution. Ensure that where appropriate contracts exist which provide suitable levels of risk mitigation and prevention.What makes you great You hold a university degree.Come with experience in Procurement roles, or in a commercial environment.Proven ability for continuous improvement/savings/value add and a strong advocate of best practice.You have exposure to Chemical /Mechanical Engineering/Chemistry/production/FMCG industry.Be a Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) a benefit (desirable).Fluency in Mandarin or any Indian Language would be an added advantage.Why you will love working with us At Linde, we identify ourselves with our products – either working for the technical or medical gases business.
