Songworks Choir Seeking Musical Director

Position: MD Required for Songworks Community Choir MorningsideSongworks is a friendly, community choir for all abilities established in 2005. There are no auditions to join the choir and there is no requirement to read music. We sing acappella, in three or four-part harmony, learning by ear. Our repertoire includes songs in a variety of styles from around the world, gospel music as well as well-known popular songs. Our aims are to encourage members' vocal and musical confidence, for mutual enjoyment, using teaching and leading methods that make music accessible to all members.
Currently, we have between 30-40 members. We meet on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm at the Columcille Centre, 2 Newbattle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH10 4RT for three 10-week terms: Autumn, Spring, and Summer each year.
We are looking for a new enthusiastic choir leader to encourage us to continue singing together and to help build up the choir.
